Welcome to our Practice!
Thank you for choosing Pediatric Dental Care for your child’s oral health care! We are proud to provide a comfortable environment in which you can feel confident about the dental care your child will receive.
Early Examination and Preventative Care
Not sure when you should bring your child in for his or her first dental visit? It’s best to schedule the first visit by his or her first birthday. Dental problems can begin early, especially once a child’s diet includes anything besides breast milk.
You should bring your child to a pediatric dentist when his or her first tooth comes in, typically between 6 and 12 months of age. Teaching your children dental care early on will protect your child’s smile as he or she grows.
First Visit to Pediatric Dental Care
During your first visit to Pediatric Dental Care, we will review your child’s medical and dental history, and do a detailed examination of the oral cavity. At this time, our goal is to address any specific concerns or questions that you may have. We will gently examine the teeth, oral tissues, and jaws, and then talk with you and your child about dental health.
Our specially trained staff is always working with your child’s comfort in mind, and we strive to make our young patients feel at ease in the exam chair.
Pediatric Dental Care will only take X-rays when we feel it is appropriate for your child’s dental health. Certain cases, including orthodontic treatment, or diagnosing tooth decay or abnormalities, may require an X-ray. Our staff will discuss the need for X-rays with you before any are taken.
Additional services are generally scheduled for subsequent visits. This allows us to create a treatment plan that is specific to your child and addresses your concerns, as well as any problems that may arise in the future.

Regular Dental Visits
Regular dental visits help keep your child cavity-free and allow us to provide an ongoing assessment of changes in his or her health. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a dental check-up at least twice a year for most children. Some children require more frequent dental visits due to increased risk of tooth decay, unusual growth patterns, or poor oral hygiene.
Together we can lay the foundation for a strong relationship with a lifetime of good oral health and a beautiful smile!
