Dr. Erika Brodkin
Fairfax, VA DentistPediatric Dental Care
Dr. Erika grew up in Westchester County, New York. In 1995, she earned her BA in English at Barnard College in New York City.
Growing up, Dr. Erika was interested in science and health, aspiring to work with children. She ultimately realized that a hands-on career in dentistry was the perfect fit. After obtaining her Doctor of Dental Medicine from The University of Pennsylvania, she combined her two passions: children and dentistry. She continued her training in the pediatric dentistry postdoctoral program at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, completing it in 2002.
She gained valuable experience by treating children with medical challenges, assisting dental students with clinical instruction, and working as a fellow in the New York public school system. Upon receiving her certificate, Dr. Erika worked briefly in private practice before transitioning to a public health dental clinic that served a wide range of children of diverse backgrounds with and without dental insurance.
For Dr. Erika, it is rewarding and humbling to make a direct positive impact on children’s oral health clinically, medically, and emotionally. Her goal is to make each patient and their parent feel like a thousand bucks. Dr. Erika and her family recently relocated to Northern Virginia.
